Support Measure for the Utilization of Geothermal Potential (MAPG)

The Notice No. 6265/2026/2, of March 20 concerning the submission of applications to the Support Measure for the Utilization of the Geothermal Potential of Natural Mineral Waters and Geothermal Resources (MAPG), funded by the Modernisation Fund, has been published in the Portuguese Official Gazette.

1. The application must be submitted exclusively through the form made available for this purpose.
2. After receiving the form, DGEG will carry out a preliminary validation of the application, during which the conformity of the data and documents initially submitted will be verified.
3. Once this stage is completed, the applicant will be assigned a unique identification code, which will be sent by email (mapg@dgeg.gov.pt) to both the promoter and the project manager.
4. In the same communication in which the code is provided, access to a shared folder will also be granted, where the applicant must upload all the documents required under Article 23 of the MAPG Regulation.
