Legislation on Mineral Masses (Quarries)

 

 

  • Decree-Law No. 340/2007, October 6 - Amends Decree-Law 270/2001, October 6, which approves the legal regime for the research and exploration of mineral masses (quarries);

 

 

  • Council of Ministers Resolution No. 50/2019, of March 5th - Approves the Intervention Plan for Quarries in Critical Situations;

 

 

  • Decree-Law No. 165/2014, of November 5 - Regime for the Regularization of Economic Activities (RERAE) which, with the amendments introduced by Decree-Law No. 21/2016, of July 19, allowed the initiation of extraordinary regularization procedures for quarries between January 2015 and July 2017;

 

 

  • Decree-Law No. 152-B/2017, of December 11 - Amends the legal regime of environmental impact assessment (EIA) of public and private projects likely to produce significant effects on the environment, transposing Directive 2014/52/EU;

 

 

  • Decree-Law No. 31/2013, of February 22 - Undertakes the first amendment to Decree-Law No. 10/2010, of February 4 - Legal regime to which the management of waste from exploitation of mineral deposits (mines) and mineral masses (quarries) is subject;

 

 

  • Decree-Law No. 54/2015, of June 22 - Basic Law of the legal regime for the disclosure and exploitation of geological resources existing in the national territory, including those located in the national maritime space;

 

 

  • Ordinance No. 1083/2008, of September 24 - Establishes the values of the fees due for the practice of acts provided for in the legal regime of research and exploration of mineral masses (quarries);

  • Decree-law No. 113/99, August 3, 1999 - revokes article 12 of Decree-law no. 324/95, November 29, on the protection of the safety and health of workers in the open-pit and underground mining industries;
