Technical Director
Responsible for technical work management, holder of adequate qualifications and technical competence recognized by DGEG, jointly responsible with contract holders for the rigorous application of technical standards and good practices in the execution of the work.
With the entry into force of Decree-Law 30/2021, of May 7, a new procedure for the analysis of technical management of mineral deposits was approved at DGEG, complying with article 42 of DL 30/2021 and annex VI, providing generally the following changes:
- Inclusion of technical management for exploration;
- Establishment of limitations on the number of technical directors for each technician, as provided for in paragraph b) of no. 7 of article 42 of DL 30/2021;
- Limitations in the accumulation with technical responsibilities for quarries (exploitation of mineral masses) as set forth in paragraph b) of no. 7 of article 42 of DL 30/2021;
- Differentiated criteria for types of work (open-pit and underground exploitation, exploration), as set forth in paragraph c) of no. 7 of article 42 of DL 30/2021.
For the exercise of the Technical Director role, the Technical Director proposal signed by the concessionaire must be sent to DGEG for approval, accompanied by the Liability Term of the technician to assume this function, containing the elements foreseen in Templates / Minutes.
