Exploration of Mineral Deposits

 

 

The exploration activity, of the public domain mineral resources, is characterized as a set of operations aimed at the detection of mineral deposits and the determination of their characteristics until the revelation of the existence of economic value.

About Us

  • The Directorate-General for Energy and Geology is the result from merging Directorate-General of Energy (DGE) and part of the Geological and Mining Institute (IGM) in 2004. It is a public insttituion form the central administration of the state that as the responsability for the definition, implementation and evaluation of public policies related to energy and geological resources, with the aim of ensuring the regular and uninterrupted satisfaction of collective needs in the sectors under its responsibility.
