As a result of the legislation and contracts in force, the concessionaires are obliged to submit the following documents to DGEG:

Technical document with a dynamic content which establishes the way in which the mineral deposit is going to be extracted and valorised following the best available practices. This plan, which includes all the activities to be implemented in the concession area and mining annexes, located outside and inside this area, complies with the requirements set out in Annex V of Decree-Law No 30/2021 of 7 May, amended by Law No 10/2022 of 12 January. The Mining Plans to be approved by the DGEG under Article 39 of Decree-Law 30/2021 of May 7, in its current version, bind the concessionaire to undertake the exploration works established in the plan, in order to promote the good use of the mineral deposit, in economic conditions and in compliance with standards of hygiene, safety and health at work and environmental protection. In accordance with the provisions of paragraph 3 of Annex V of Decree-Law No. 30/2021 of 7 May, amended by Law no. 10/2022 of 12 January, DGEG developed Methological Guides with the purpose of defining guidelines and technical specifications for the preparation of the Mining Plan in open pit mines (Guia metodológico para Elaboração do Estudo Prévio ao Plano de Lavra and Guia metodológico para Elaboração do Plano de Lavra). It is recommended that the elaboration of the Mining Plan in underground mines follows the orientations of the guide for underground exploitations, with the necessary adjustments to the legislation in force. |

Annual or triennial Technical document that defines the work to be performed during that period, in accordance with the approved mining plan. The work to be carried out can only occur under work programs that must be submitted to DGEG by October 1 of each year and prepared in accordance with the annual/triennial template approved for open pit mines (work program template). |
Relatório de Exploração |
Technical document that describes the activity developed in the concession in the previous year. The reports must be sent to DGEG by the end of March of each year. |
