Requests for Acquisition of Gunpowder, Explosives or Explosive Substances

Requests for the acquisition of gunpowder, explosives or explosive substances for use in mining operations shall be formalized with Departamento de Armas e Explosivos da Polícia de Segurança Pública (Arms and Explosives Department of the Public Security Police). This entity is responsible for issuing the respective authorization (preferably by electronic means: de.dae@psp.pt).

In parallel, the concessionaire must request DGEG, through the e-mail rg.minas@dgeg.gov.pt, to issue an opinion in accordance with the  available model, which will subsequently be sent directly to the Polícia de Segurança Pública (Public Security Police), with notification to the applicant.

Operators Exams

The request for an operator of gunpowder, explosives or explosive substances exam (for exploitation work in mining concessions is formalized with the Departamento de Armas e Explosivos da Polícia de Segurança Pública, which is responsible for issuing the respective operator's license.

The exams are carried out by DGEG, at request of Polícia de Segurança Pública.
