Raw Materials Supply Group (RMSG)

The Raw Materials Supply Group (RMSG) operates within DG Grow - Directorate-General for Internal Market, Industry, Entrepreneurship and SMEs - and is the main group responsible for the definition and monitoring of the European strategy and policy for raw materials. It is also through this group that the strategies and policies developed by other Directorate General of the European Commission with an impact or interaction with the mineral resources industry are monitored.

Portugal is represented in the Raw Materials Supply Group (RMSG) by the DGEG.

There are sub working groups created from the RMSG, namely the following:

• Adhoc Working Group on Critical Raw Materials

• Exchanging best practices on land use planning, permitting and geological knowledge
