Comissão Nacional de Emergências Radiológicas (CNER)

Decree-Law nº 108/2018, of December 3, transposes Council Directive 2013/59/Euratom, which establishes the basic safety standards for protection against the dangers arising from exposure to ionising radiation. In this diploma, article 116 defines the scope, organs and competences of the Comissão Nacional para Emergências Radiológicas (CNER) (National Commission for Radiological Emergencies).

CNER is a consultative body to the Agência Nacional de Proteção Civil  (ANPC) (National Civil Protection Authority) and the Direção de Serviços de Estratégia e Fomento dos Recursos Geológicos represents DGEG in this body.
