Concessioned Mining Areas

For the abandoned mines concessioned to EDM, 175 former mining areas were identified in a first phase. EDM's subsequent action under the concession led to the identification of 24 more abandoned former mining areas, so that, currently, the universe of abandoned former mining areas under concession is 199, spread throughout the country, with predominance in the Central and Northern areas.
