Geographic Information Systems
The Geographic Information Systems (GIS) area is responsible for:
- Managing the geographic database
- Geographical registration of all geological resources (minerals, hydrogeological and energy), such as requests/mineral concessions, mineral deposits, oil, water, solar power plants, wind turbines, among others
- Structuring geographic information for internal and external viewers
- Ensuring the creation, maintenance, and availability of metadata and visualization and/or downloadable services of geographic data, harmonized according to the European INSPIRE Directive.
