Extraordinary and exceptional support for beneficiaries of the Electricity Social Tariff

Extraordinary and exceptional support for the purchase of bottled Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) - "Bilha Solidária" (Solidarity Bottle) for domestic consumers who benefit from the electricity social tariff 

 

Order No. 3696-D/2022 aproves the Regulations of the extraordinary and exceptional support for domestic consumers who benefit from the social electricity tariff when purchasing bottled liquefied petroleum gas - Bilha Solidária - in coordination with CTT - Correios de Portugal, S.A. and the Directorate-General for Energy and Geology (DGEG).

The support is intended for beneficiaries of the social electric energy tariff (TSEE) who do not hold a natural gas supply contract.

 

This support aims, given the current circumstances of energy crisis and high energy prices, to protect domestic consumers who benefit from the TSEE, through the support of € 10 (ten euros), after the purchase of a bottle of Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG).

 

The support is requested at CTT counters, with a limit of one unit per calendar month and per beneficiary, and runs until 30 June 2022, or until the total budget is exhausted.

 

The maximum global allocation for this support is 4 000 000 euros (four million euros).

 

The support is intended for all domestic consumers, resident in mainland Portugal, with an electricity supply contract and beneficiaries of the electric energy social tariff (TSEE), and who do not hold a natural gas supply contract, with a maximum of 1 support per month, for 3 months.

 

In May 2022, this support was extended to non-TSEE consumers since at least one member of the household is a beneficiary of one of the minimum social benefits foreseen.

Extraordinary support for the most vulnerable families to mitigate the high increase in the prices of basic food products

 

This is an extraordinary support to mitigate the effects of the high increase in prices of basic food products for the most vulnerable families.

 

The support is intended for economically vulnerable final customers who were beneficiaries of the electricity social tariff with reference to March 2022; the support in the amount of 60 € per household will be paid by Social Security, in the month of April 2022.

 

In April 2022, the support was extended to families that did not benefit from the TSEE in March 2022, but in which at least one of the household members is a beneficiary of one of the minimum social benefits foreseen. In these situations the support is paid in the month of May 2022.
