Geological resources statistics aims to characterize this sector each year, through the knowledge of the main variables that represent it, namely, activity units, their production, sales, staff in service, consumption and investments.
Under the delegation of competencies process of National Institute of Statistics (INE) in DGEG to produce official statistics in geological resources, is recognized the technical expertise of DGEG in the analysis and production of such statistical information, carried out in strict compliance with the applicable legislation and the European Statistics Code of Practice
